And in the summer it’s even more fun to freeze fresh fruit, especially hand-picked fruit, and water in ice cube molds. With Independence Day right around the corner, I thought it would be fun to create Patriotic Fruit Ice with raspberries, blueberries, and pomegranate seeds. Of course, you can totally swap out the fruit for whatever fruit you love best, like chopped strawberries, fresh blackberries, chunks of watermelon, or pitted/halved cherries (although the juice from the cut fruit may change the color of the ice). I added my Patriotic Fruit Ice to these cute coupe cups, along with some sparkling water for an extra refreshing summer drink. What’s your favorite fruit to put in ice? Friendly Tip: Boiled distilled water makes the ice more clear (and I did use cooled-down boiled distilled water in the silicone mold), but in a regular ice mold water still freezes in any direction.
