My husband and I were invited to dinner at Isidore’s, the newest restaurant at the Pullman Market at the Pearl. What we experienced was a feast for the eyes and the mouth. Every course was so visually exquisite, and of course they all tasted divine. Every detail was thought out-down to the cutlery, the fluting on the water pitchers, the music, the pacing of the courses. In my experience, when dining at a restaurant with this level of talent, the staff can be a little pretentious but we were warmly greeted from the moment we walked in the door and every single member of the team treated us like old friends, even calling out goodbyes from the kitchen when we left. If you’re in San Antonio, you need to experience this for yourselves!

The weather has finally turned and I can start wearing my fall/winter uniform: jeans and a top. This is a whole outfit of nothing new, just comfy faves to wear to the 9th Annual Texas Kosher BBQ contest held by my synagogue. Imagine spending an afternoon sampling all the barbecue brisket, chicken, and salmon you can eat, then voting on which one you think was the best. Not a bad way to pass a Sunday afternoon! Our son, Shane, is usually on a golf course or watching football on a Sunday afternoon but even he couldn’t pass this opportunity up!

Back to the outfit…I love this top so much I bought it in 5 colors. Runs true to size, it’s an easy alternative to a tee shirt. Same material, but a little more polished with the collar and half placket of buttons. The shoes are a more recent find and so comfortable. They’re a budget friendly version of Rothy’s that I found on Amazon and are also true to size.

I’m in my washable silk era! This silk puff sleeve top comes in so many colors, layers well under cardigans and blazers AND you can throw it in the washing machine! Runs TTS-wearing XS. These jeans are great for petite ladies. They’re meant to be cropped but on a 5’4” frame (or shorter) they’re the perfect length, and if you need to hem some more, just take a scissors to the raw hem. They run TTS as well-wearing a size 26. When I’m feeling stressed, there’s nothing like getting out of the house and walking up and down the aisles of @Walmart. This isn’t sponsored, it’s just what I do. My husband and I made a date night out of it-first we hit our favorite Walmart store up in Spring Branch, looked at the new holiday releases, MAYBE ended up buying a *few* things, wandered over to the women’s section and added a few more things to the cart, grabbed dinner and watched some Netflix. Give me all the silver and black-so I can cheer on our San Antonio Spurs to a win over the Timberwolves! These three pieces happen to be from a holiday collection but they’re perfect for game nights too! When you get invited to the opening of a @susiecakes location in your town, you go! I had the pleasure of not only being able to bring my son along to a “work event”, but I also got to meet the actual Susie! She was absolutely lovely and we found out we had a lot in common-we grew up about 5 minutes away from each other! The cakes were spectacular. The coconut was my husband and son’s favorite but I’m a vanilla girl through and through and their vanilla cake was incredible. Note to my husband-order my birthday cake from here!! 🎂

I’m trying to share not just my daily outfits, but what I did while wearing them. Yesterday my husband and I went to vote (early voting started on Monday in Texas) and we spent about an hour waiting in line, chatting with other voters, enjoying the fall weather, voting, then hiking through a drainage culvert and up a hill to get back to our car. Here’s the story: Went out on a casual date night to a local wine/outdoor music spot that also has a field with llamas next door (only in Texas). Couldn’t get the llamas in the pic but the outfit is a fave! The top is a soft cozy knit with a boatneck and the jeans are my go to trouser jeans. 1. This pet stroller (works for dogs & cats) has made it possible for me to take our 12 ½ year old Westie who is mostly blind and a bit deaf on our family walks. The bassinet can fully close with a screen panel on the front and back and detaches to also be used as a car seat. It’s under $70!!

2. I wore this lightweight cozy knit hoodie 2 days in a row! Wearing an XS (true size) for a less oversized fit.
