Stockholm Style / Scandinavian Style Casual Winter Outfit

❄️ When I am in my home in Northern Michigan, my everyday winter style is generally what is called Stockholm Style or Scandinavian Style, which is sometimes called Scandi Style for short. This is a cozy and casual style of dress which is characterized by:
- Neutral Colors
- Warm and Cozy Fabrics
- Hints of Coastal Colors like soft blues and seashell pinks
- Warm Footwear like Ugg boots or Insulated Mules (I like my Merrills)
- Minimal, Delicate Jewelry
- Natural Makeup (I showed you my Rosy Lip Balm and Winter Lip Scrub on Friday)
- Long Wool Coats…or the occasional crop coat
- Oversized Fits (throw out the old rules about balancing loose with fitted!)

This is where I am from. I was born in Atlanta on April 16, 1974 and grew up of Jimmy Carter Blvd.
- Hank Aaron hit his historic home run just days earlier across town.
- Gary Player won his second Masters jacket two days earlier.
- Richard Nixon was still President…but only for a few more months.
- And the Governor of the beautiful state of Georgia was a former naval submarine lieutenant turned peanut farmer.

Jimmy Carter is the quintessential example of how reasonable people can disagree on important issues…yet still recognize that there is something beautiful in that other person.

May we all strive to follow his example.
