This is where I am from. I was born in Atlanta on April 16, 1974 and grew up of Jimmy Carter Blvd. - Hank Aaron hit his historic home run just days earlier across town. - Gary Player won his second Masters jacket two days earlier. - Richard Nixon was still President…but by the end of April 1974, Gerald Ford would be President. - And the Governor of the beautiful state of Georgia was a former naval submarine lieutenant turned peanut farmer. Jimmy Carter is the quintessential example of how reasonable people can disagree on important issues…yet still recognize that there is something beautiful in that other person.
