PRODUCT REVIEW / I purchased this Korean brand serum VTReedle Shot back in January. I tried it on my face and loved it (I recommend the 100 for face) but found it worked even better on my scalp (I use the 300 for my scalp) when paired with my hair growth serums. See below for an in-depth review.
VT Reedle Review: VT Cosmetics Reedle Shot 100-300 $25-27 for 1.69 fl oz. available on @amazon
Key Ingredients: Contains spicules, little needle-like structures that come from marine sponges, that pierce the skin creating open channels to deliver ingredients deeper. In addition to creating micro channels for ingredients to penetrate deeper into the skin, the spicules also serve a secondary function — they “aerate” the skin — which helps to kill acne causing bacteria, which is why they’ve found to be helpful treating acneic skin.
Bonus ingredients: Soothing centella asiatic, known to reduce inflammation and redness. Propolis, which is derived from bees and has immense anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal and anti-bactieral properties to it. There is also hyaluronic acid and glycerin to hydrate.
Texture/Feel: Thick serum that glides easily over the skin. There is a needle-like prickling of the skin upon application. The 100 version is milder than the 300.
Fragrance: None
Overall, this product deserves all the viral hype it receives! It’s incredible for the face (I recommend the 100) and also for the scalp (300). I noticed right away (two weeks) I had baby hairs sprouting up along my hairline, after adding in this product to my scalp care routine. It makes the number of new hairs triple. I constantly have baby hairs sticking up on top of my head because of how fast the rate of new growth is. I find this product is best used on clean, towel dried damp hair. I use it mainly along my hairline where I want more growth.
