The recipe…
SHAMPOO/CONDITIONER: Shampoo is the most important set of products in our hair routine. Using the wrong shampoo can lead you down the path of scalp irritation, itch, dry strands etc. I’ve currently been testing out the @k18hair Damage Shield Shampoo + Conditioner (I’m working on a deep dive K18 brand review, coming soon!). This shampoo and conditioner is lovely! I especially like the optimized pH that ensures it’s gentle on hair. $36
TREATMENT MASK: I am really impressed with @livingproof Triple Bond Complex $45. I have healthy hair, so many of these types of treatments don’t do much for my hair, but this one makes my hair NOTICEABLY smoother, softer, less frizz, more shine. I use 2-3 pumps on towel dried hair after washing.
HAIR GROWTH SERUMS: I have been using some sort of hair growth serum for years. I started using them after having my oldest Chloe 6yrs ago, and never stopped using one. I’ve been testing out two new serums since January (not at the same time, one for a few months and then the other) — @sicksciencelabs $58 and @livingproofinc $64— and am I’m going to post soon an in-depth review of all the hair growth serums I’ve tried!
SUPPLEMENTS: Beauty from the inside out is something I talk about ALL THE TIME. I’m a big proponent of healthy eating and supplements. I’ve been taking the @areygrey supplements on and off for years. I always notice a huge difference in my hair whenever I stop. I like that the formula can prevent and reverse greying, and increases overall hair shine and thickness. $46 (code AMYC20 for 20% off)
ANTI FRIZZ/LEAVE IN CONDITIONER/HEAT PROTECTION: The @bumbleandbumble Hair Dresser’s Invisible Oil $34 is the gold standard for smoothing frizz, adding hydration and heat protection imo, but some of you have been asking me for a budget friendly option and for that I highly recommend the @saltair Heat Protectant Spray $13.
HEATLESS CURLS: Every since shifting to a heatless curler from my hot rollers, my hair has taken on a whole new level of health and shine!! Love this one from @silknlove.co $35. A good budget friendly one I love too is @mykitsch for $16.
