I want to be a mom “for my kids” not just a mom “to my kids” I’ve been reflecting on this a lot lately. Being a mom to your kids often looks like managing the day-to-day—meal prep, bath time, carpools, wiping spills, passing out snacks and making sure shoes are actually on the right feet before heading out the door. It’s the constant hustle of doing. But being a mom for your kids? That’s something deeper. It’s showing up in ways that matter to them. It’s being present in their joy, their messes, and their little worries. It’s cheering them on from the sidelines, sitting on the floor for their made-up games, and being their safe place when they need a hug more than words. One isn’t better than the other—we have to do for them to thrive. But I’ve realized the “for” moments are where the joy lives. Those moments? That’s where I see their little hearts grow—and mine too. What’s one way you’re showing up for your kids this week? Cheering you on, mama 🤍🤟🏼
