Love love LOVE all your guesses about the secret project we’ve been working on. A pet wash/flower room mash-up is the space of Domino’s & my dreams!

All the 🏆🏆🏆 to those of you who guessed bunk room (some with insider intel!), which has been at the tippy-top of my wishlist since we first began house hunting in Nashville four years ago. Given my children’s ages & our many out-of-town friends, packs of young overnight guests are a frequent occurrence. Having a dedicated space for them to stay comfortably is truly a dream come true!

We already had a finished basement, which has heretofore been a playroom/video game lounge/foosball parlor, so converting it into a bunk room was the natural choice. A huge piece of this project is building a full bathroom so it’s a truly guest-ready space. The vibe we’re going for is classic New England summer camp, a little old school, featuring striped tile for FUN.

Here’s to the power of a few excellent new accessories to reinvigorate your existing wardrobe! Par exemple, this @by.merryn scarf is the perfect complement to this @daily_sleeper dress I’ve owned for a while & had a little bit forgotten about? She’s ready to head to lunch with pals, a romantic dinner on vacay, or just on errands when you’re feeling fancy. (And you DO.)

And you all, can we talk about this handbag? It is a decade-old Goyard that has been THROUGH IT. Exploded pens, leaky sippy cups, a paint job that did not take & Goyard would not fix (a tale for another time, my friends). Anywho, I haven’t carried this bag in years because she’s such a wreck, but then my pals at @yay_tigre_de_tartan sent me this gingham handbag insert. How cute does my bag look now?! It has returned from THE BRINK courtesy of crisp navy gingham & some rather tailored bows. I am actually excited to carry it again, a minor miracle.

So today’s lesson I’m probably not supposed to teach you: wear your closet! Just mix up the great pieces you already own with fresh accessories ⚡️

Today’s itinerary includes but is not limited to: camp drop/water plants/walk dog/pool sesh/play date/laundry crank/pack (again), so basically, a bunch of mom stuff. At such times, this outfit of washable stripes, crisp white kicks & a cuuuute sun hat is the move. (Just add iced coffee.)

PS, this @themonogramcorner “Beachcomber” hat is a no brainer. The hardest part is deciding on colors! I went light blue & ecru so it can go with black as well as navy, le perpetual struggle.
