Friday Faves ✨ 5 Favorite Things from 2024

1️⃣ If you’re in the market for new glass containers (bye plastic!), these are so great. I invested in a set this year and I’ve really enjoyed using them.
2️⃣ We are in love with this wet/dry vacuum. It’s the only thing we use to clean our hardwood floors. It’s a game changer if you have kids or pets because it vacuums and mops at the same time.
3️⃣ I’m loving the Merit Beauty products and this set has been amazing for streamlining my morning makeup routine. I love that it’s minimalist and doesn’t take me long but still makes me feel put together.
4️⃣ These jeans are probably my most worn jeans this year. They’re so comfy, go with just about any top and can be dressed up or down. I have my normal size 28.
5️⃣ We got this during Amazon Prime Day and we’ve used it just about every day since. It’s the perfect size for small spaces (the fridge, high chair, car seat, etc) and so easy to use. The kids also really like using it to clean up their crumbs (or Christmas Tree bugs 😅).

This one is based on the Whole Foods salad we all love. It’s so easy and perfect to protein meal prep for lunches.

Here’s how to make it:
・2 cups shredded or chopped chicken
・½ cup red grapes, halved
・¼ cup diced red onion
・¼ cup diced celery
・1 Tbsp chopped pecans
・¼ cup mayo
・¼ cup plain Greek yogurt
・1 tsp apple cider vinegar
・1 tsp honey
・½ tsp poppy seeds
・¼ tsp sea salt
・¼ tsp pepper

1️⃣ Whisk together mayo, greek yogurt, apple cider vinegar, honey, poppy seeds, salt and pepper in a small bowl.
2️⃣ Add chicken, grapes, onion, celery and grapes into a large bowl. Pour dressing over and toss to combine. Taste and adjust seasonings, if needed.

PROTEIN HOT CHOCOLATE! 🍫☕️

I can’t bring myself to try bone broth hot chocolate 😅 so this is what I make instead! Not only is it rich and creamy, but it’s packed with over 22 grams of protein. It’s the perfect option when I want something warm and cozy that has just as much protein as a protein shake.

Here’s how to make it:
・1 ½ cups (12 oz) non-dairy milk, I used almond milk
・1 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder or cacao powder
・1 scoop chocolate protein powder, I used Truvani
・1 Tbsp pure maple syrup, optional
・¼ tsp vanilla extract
・pinch sea salt

1️⃣ Add all your ingredients to a blender (or blender bottle) and blend or shake until combined.
2️⃣ Pour mixture into a small saucepan. Heat on low heat until just simmering, about 4-5 minutes.
3️⃣ Pour into a mug or heat-safe glass, top with your favorite toppings and enjoy!

FRIDAY FAVORITES ✨

1️⃣ TUL Pens - I love a good pen and these are one of my absolute favorites. They write so smoothly and don’t smudge. They would make a great stocking stuffer!

2️⃣ Cozy V Neck Sweater - This sweater is called “Cashfeel” and I get why - it really does feel like soft cashmere. Comes in a ton of colors and the fit is tts. I got the red in a size small. Only $14.

3️⃣ Bachan's Japanese BBQ Sauce - I’ve gotten hooked on this BBQ sauce. It works great as a marinade, but also drizzled as a sauce on protein or veggies. We bought a variety pack from Costco with three different flavors!

4️⃣ Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro - We needed a new toaster oven and I had been on the hunt for a stainless steel air fryer (our old one kept losing it’s non-stick coating) so I got this on sale for Black Friday and we’ve been really liking it (and it’s back on sale for the same price now).

5️⃣ Bumkin Reusable Snack Bags - I’ve been using these for the kid’s lunches all year and they’ve been awesome now that I’m packing multiple snacks for each kiddo. They’re easy to clean and the patterns are cute. They have larger sandwich size bags too.
