protein-packed oats! 🥣 Head over to eatingbirdfood.com for more great recipes! This has been my go-to way to make protein oats for years! They turn out sooo creamy and don’t worry you can’t taste the egg whites! Plus, because of the added protein you won’t be hungry 20 mins after eating them! 😅 Here’s how to make it: ・½ cup old fashioned rolled oats ・½ banana, sliced (optional, but I love) ・½ teaspoon cinnamon ・pinch of sea salt ・1 cup water ・ ¼ cup egg whites (start with this and add more if you’d like) 1️⃣ Add oats, banana slices, cinnamon and sea salt to a pot. Add water or milk and stir to combine. Heat over medium-high heat for 5-6 minutes or until all the liquid has been absorbed. Be sure to stir the oats several times while cooking to make sure the banana slices melt into the oats. 2️⃣ Pour egg whites into the oats and stir or whisk constantly. Stirring will keep the egg whites from scrambling and they will turn into a thick, fluffy consistency instead. Had to try this PB&J EGG WHITE OMELETTE inspired by @paigejohnston_fit! 🥞🍓🥜 Here’s how to make it: ・1 cup liquid egg whites ・1 Tbsp natural peanut butter ・1 Tbsp jam/jelly ・½ banana, sliced ・½ tsp cinnamon ・Cooking spray 1️⃣ Spray a nonstick skillet with cooking spray and cook your egg whites, omelette style, over medium-low heat. I like covering my pan to help them cook. Sprinkle on cinnamon and salt while they’re cooking. Once the egg whites are cooked through, flip one side over to make an omelette. 2️⃣ Top with banana slices, a drizzle of peanut butter and the jelly and enjoy! Friday Faves ☀️ 1️⃣ Recently grabbed some new pjs for spring and I love how soft and light-weight they are. Plus, they’re really affordable. 2️⃣ These are one of my favorite high-protein snacks right now. They’re so perfect when you’re craving something crunchy and salty. One small pack has 11 grams of protein! I like the sea salt and ranch flavors best! 3️⃣ This is the magnesium that Isaac and I take every night. We both take 2 and feel like it really does help with our sleep. 4️⃣ I’ve been raving about this dress since our Costa Rica trip. It’s such a great vacation dress because it doesn’t show wrinkles easily, it’s light, flowy and flattering and under $100. I’ve already worn it twice and I’m planning to take it on our spring break trip too. 5️⃣ I love this brand of unbleached parchment paper and the sheets are soooo nice. They fit perfectly on a standard metal baking sheet and can easily be cut to fit loaf pans or square baking dishes. Plus, no more ripped pieces of parchment! #LTKSeasonal #LTKBeauty #LTKStyleTip
Friday faves 🛍️ 1️⃣ I’m hooked on these Aloha protein bars, especially for travel. The peanut butter cup flavor is still my favorite, but they have lots of good flavors. 2️⃣ I think I’ve found the perfect basic long sleeve top - it’s so comfy, ribbed and great for layering. I’ve already ordered it in another color. Fit is tts, I have a small and the price is right - only $14! 3️⃣ I bought these on a whim and I love the fit. They’re a great, inexpensive option to try out the super wide leg trend. Fit is tts, I ordered both a 4 and 6 and ended up keeping the 4. Price is great too at $36! . 4️⃣ Whenever we get an email about a lice outbreak at school I start using this daily, on both kids. It’s supposed to repel the lice and so far as good. We also use this same brand for Olivia’s shampoo and conditioner. 5️⃣ I’ve been trying out some new leggings from Amazon and this brand is one of my absolute faves. They’re super comfy and high-quality, especially for the price ($32). I wear a size medium. I also got ​a cute sports bra​ to match! #LTKFitness #LTKActive #LTKKids
Friday faves 🍊🧡 1️⃣ It’s Sumo citrus season and we are buying them weekly over here because they’re the best oranges ever. They’re large, really sweet, seedless and super easy to peel. Our whole family loves them. I’ve found them at Trader Joe’s and Target this season. 2️⃣ Isaac has been hooked on Lululemon socks (and boxers) for years now and I finally bought myself some… oh my gosh, they’re so soft and comfy. I may never be able to go back. I got a set of the quarter socks (joining the trend 😅) and the ankle socks. 3️⃣ My kids use these knives all the time to help chop in the kitchen. I love that they’re safe for them to use but still actually work! Under $10 and comes with a set of 3. 4️⃣ This eye cream has become my go-to for morning and evening. It goes on super smooth, can be layered under makeup and I feel like it’s helping to brighten my under eye area (and hopefully help with fine lines too). 5️⃣ These are some of my favorite glass meal prep containers. I really like the rectangular ones, but this set has a great mix, including some small round ones that I use all the time.
