I always love decorating for Christmas early because it takes me forever and we can enjoy it longer! Don’t worry, Thanksgiving will be fully celebrated!🦃

This was our porch two years ago, and I did the exact same thing last year. Here are a few easy steps to get your front doors and porch ready for the season:

1. Layer a neutral scatter or jute rug and welcome mat. This exact jute rug is no longer available but I’ll link some similar ones.

2. Add baskets or planters and fill with trees...don’t be afraid to use faux! These cedar trees seriously look incredible and are still going strong after over two years outdoors!

3. Top it off with wreaths and bells!

I’m giving my nails a break from gel polish and love this color from Essie! This is called mismatch to match and it is a great color for a fall manicure or your Thanksgiving get together or vacation. It’s kind of a purple plum color. And just happens to match my Brumate era 40 ounce Tumbler perfectly! The Brumate cup color is called Rose Taupe. I did two coats and topped it with Sally Hanson double duty topcoat.

🍁Fall Tablescape Inspiration!🍁

I loved pulling together this traditional fall tablescape using these beautiful Nutmeg linens from the Glen Check Collection by @solinohome! They have such a wide selection of patterns for every occasion in a range of options including tablecloths, napkins, runners, placemats, and more!

Here are a few steps to make your fall or holiday tablescape easy!

1. Start with a base. You can add color or go neutral with a high quality table cloth and a contrasting runner. If you prefer to let your bare table show, use just a runner or layer two runners together! This may trigger some people :) but I love giving my runners some folds for a little bit of dimension!

2. Add placemats or chargers: I used woven chargers here for a different texture, but you can use another contrasting linen or match what you've already got...there is no wrong answer here.

3. Add in your dinnerware. I love using two tones and this year I added in some fun fall themed ramekins for soups or appetizers.

4. Don't forget your linen napkins! They're just so much nicer than paper :)

5. Setup your centerpiece: You can choose to include serving pieces for family style or leave them on the counter and go buffet style! I love adding in candlesticks with flameless candles and some kind of greenery or faux stems to pull everything together!

That's it! Tablescapes used to intimidate me but then I learned, there is no way to mess this up! These traditional colors would be perfect for your Thanksgiving or Friendsgiving table! Happy eating!!

It’s not too early to start thinking about your Christmas home decor! All of the best items go quickly and they will sell out! This was our Christmas front porch two years ago and still one of my faves because it’s so simple and understated. I love these cedar trees and use them all throughout the year in different places around my home, this is the 3 foot, 5 foot, and 6 foot but they are available in many different heights! the baskets here are no longer available, but I’ve linked some similar ones. Also, my jute rug is no longer available, but I’ll try to find a few and link them here. I use a 4 x 6 rug and a 2 x 5 doormat for my double doors and it’s the perfect size!my wreaths are also back in stock and I have them for three years now. I love the beauty and simplicity of the greenery with the bells!

🎃Halloween Porch!🎃 I almost didn’t even bother, but all it took was turning around these Jack-o-lanterns and adding a few tea lights! How could I not? The holiday collection from MacKenzie-Childs is here, and it’s so good!🎄🎅🏼When I got these gorgeous pieces in from the Courtly Check collection, I could not wait to get in the kitchen and whip something up! The enamel canisters and bakeware are gorgeous and also so functional. I also love this nutcracker mug set and gingerbread men measuring spoon set. But my favorite item is the beautiful tin recipe box!😍

Here’s the breakfast casserole recipe I made:

INGREDIENTS:
• 1 lb. sausage
• 6 eggs
• 2 cups milk
• 1 tsp salt
• 1 tsp mustard
• 3 slices bread (cubed)
• 2 cups shredded cheese

DIRECTIONS:
1. Brown sausage and drain.
2. Mix eggs, milk, salt and mustard.
3. Place cubed bread in a sprayed medium dish.
4. Top with sausage and cheese.
5. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
6. Next morning, bake at 350° for 30-40 minutes.

I finally got a white sofa and I am so excited about this one! I’ve had my eye on it for over a year and finally went for it. It has all the bells and whistles! It is completely modular so you can do any layout you want – a U-shaped sectional, an L-shaped sectional, Two individual couches, the pieces can even stand alone as their own chair or you can turn one into an ottoman/coffee table. The options are truly endless! They also have reclining options so I picked two pieces to recline their electronic and come with the remote control and include a place to charge your devices. On top of all that? All of the fabric is high-performance, stain resistant and removable so it can be washed if needed! I can’t wait to see all this couch do. And yes, it is soooo comfy! The cushions have a firm side and a soft side so you can choose to your likeness! This is also my favorite rug in my whole house. I love the colors and it is ultra soft! We love this space on our patio but even with cooler temps finally coming in, it still gets hot in the sun! I decided it was time to fix that with the help of @bcproducts! Here’s a simple fall center piece I created by using my favorite oval Seagrass basket/tray! I filled one side of it with white pumpkins and gourds from pottery barn. Then I added these gorgeous gold candle sticks/taper candle holders from Walmart and my favorite flameless flicker taper candles from Amazon! I also added in a fall magnolia stem I got from hobby lobby. The perfect fall vibe for our farm table!

🎃👻I scream, You scream, we all scream for Halloween Ice Cream Sammies!😋🍦Put these on your weekend to do list!!

We used the classic Pillsbury Halloween place and bake cookies in both the ghost and pumpkin design! Bake according to instructions on the box and allow to cool completely. After they have cooled, place a small scoop of ice cream on one cookie and smash it together with another cookie. We did mix and match so each sandwich has a ghost and a pumpkin! if you need to, smooth the ice cream around the edges with your finger and then roll in Halloween sprinkles! After each one, I wrapped in parchment paper and immediately placed in the freezer to avoid melting. You have to work fast or it gets a little messy! The kids loved making these and they loved eating them even more! It’s a super fun Halloween activity with the kids!

My fall porch all lit up in the evening!🤩 This is where my fairytale fall dreams really came to life with fall decorations from Pottery Barn! Step styling can be intimidating but it doesn’t have to be…here’s what I do:

1. Start with your largest pieces…the ones you want to make a statement! This was the trees and the woven pre-lit pumpkins from Pottery Barn! I spread them out for balance without making it totally symmetrical.

2. Add a few pieces with varying color and texture: the black outdoor lanterns and baskets with flowers! (These exact flowers are from Hobby Lobby)

3. Filler…the terracotta pumpkins filled in all the gaps and pulled it together! PS: I actually used several of the jack-o-lantern pumpkins so I can turn them around for Halloween! Stay tuned!🎃 Be sure to check out my front porch collection for more!

I used to be a black thumb until a few years ago, and while they don’t all survive, I am now I’m a full on plant mama! You all have watched me dirty up my white sink for so long with my potting and propogating but I finally got myself a potting bench from Best choice products and it’s so cute! I love this thing for storing and organizing all my batteries! So nice to be able to see what I have and what I need and it holds a lot!! I also like the battery tester! So handy! Get you one of these and fill it up before Christmas gets here! So nice to have handy when you start opening up all the toys! Also this is really a great practical gift in itself!
