Expectations in life can either surprise or disappoint you. Meanwhile, managing those expectations seems to be a lifelong pursuit towards contentment. My expectations with my post over the weekend were pretty nonexistent, but instead an honest look into my current thoughts. I’ve come to use this platform as an extension of my thoughts and in the process have found kindred spirits across the globe. So with these nonexistent expectations came surprise and immense gratitude. I’ve been trying to reply to as many of the sweet messages you all have sent in regards to Teddy, the congratulations on marriage, and the ones just checking in to see how I am. I’ll eventually share more about our wedding, but for now know it was intimate and a day surrounded in love. I’m working my way through the inbox, and hope to get around to each of you. I so appreciate each note and have one more thought in all of this: when you show up- be you. Nothing more. Don’t try to be like anyone else. Their life is already taken, and there is a space uniquely for you. Wherever you are trying to make friends, find love, or grow a business: let that be a reflection of you.
