What are the stupidest jeans you’ve seen? Lately or ever? What do you consider stupid versus excessive? What do you think of Bottega Veneta’s $6,900 leather jeans? How do you like Brunello Cuccinelli’s easygoing barrel leg jeans? How are the wide-leg Gucci jeans $1,500? Would you wear them at $150? To me, things get stupid when price doesn’t yield value. I could see that Brunello might have had high production costs, but the end product has underwhelming whiskering. They just don’t seem to have expertise in denim. I found a bunch of more affordable options that have better whiskering than a lot of denim at the $1,000+ price tier. If someone’s paying that much, the piece better have integrity.
