Am I the only one who feels that I deserve a reward for finishing a beauty product? I love the caviar sticks from Laura Mercier. I used up Strapless, which is a metallic rose gold. I replaced it with a matte shade called Camel. I enjoyed the liquid blush from Rare Beauty in Bliss, but I think the Westman Atelier stick will be easier to apply. As of today, the price of gold is $85.61 per gram, and sterling silver is $0.9904 per gram. It’s fascinating to compare the price of jewelry from new to preloved, and I appreciate that The Real Real lists the weight in grams for each piece.

1. Hermes’ necklace is 18k gold. J.Crew’s pieces are brass, gold-plated recycled zinc, and cubic zirconia.

2. Both Hermes and Etsy use sterling silver. The Etsy mariner necklaces are come in 4.6mm to 14mm; the Hermès necklace is 10mm wide.

3. The Herakles Knot Ring from The Met Store is 14K gold plate over 925 Sterling silver base. Hermès’ ring is 18k gold.

4. The Hermès bracelet is sterling silver, and Mango is 100% zinc.

5. The Hermès necklace is 18k gold, and Mango uses 85% brass, 8% stainless steel, 5% zinc, 2% acrylic.

Love this combination: a sparkly lady jacket with sailor jeans. I’m partial to my sailor jeans in velvet, but any dark jean would look great.

I saw this J.Crew jacket in person. It’s well done. The trims look good, too. I love that my Mango jacket is soft, so it drapes well. Wear it closed to avoid the warping along the edges.
