How’s the silk at Quince? The washable silk fabric itself feels substantial and has a beautiful drape. However, they cut corners in execution. The shoulder seam stands up like a ridge instead of lying flat. The bias tape that trims the cami is too rigid and thick, so the pieces doesn’t lie as flat at the one from Nili Lotan. But what does that all mean for us when we’re shopping? Sometimes, a cami doesn’t need the utmost refinement. It’s a layering piece. I am okay trimming some loose threads at home. I appreciate a shirttail hem, but I don’t miss it on the Quince cami. The button down is a pass, but I found really great alternatives. My picks can’t rival Quince in price, but I believe they deliver value. Other options that deliver value for me: simply skipping a spend altogether, thrifting, or buying something simpler at a higher quality. LTKworkwear LTKfindsunder50 LTKVideo
