A year ago… I wanted to get up earlier, but didn’t know how. I’d set an alarm, let it snooze a million times (which my husband LOVEDDDD btw 😆) and feel all sleepy-bummed because I didn’t actually get up.

I turned my attention to these things FIRST to make my #MomMorningRoutine actually happen —

🍽️ reset your kitchen and main living space. You have to be excited to get up early, not feel dreaded to get up early and do chores. Make the decision to get dishes out of the sink, a dishwasher running, clear counters, etc. Reset so you can enjoy your morning time.

🛌Create an early bedtime, 10pm at the latest…. Aiming for 7-9 hours of rest.

📱📺Limit screen time 1 hour before bed… reducing blue light supports the natural production of melatonin, essential for quality sleep.

📝Plan your morning the night before — Streamline your morning routine by planning priorities and tasks the night before. Reduce the distraction of decision making in the morning.

📚Set up a command station - before bed have your water cup, Bible, journal, workout clothes, and whatever else you need for morning ready to go.

💥🚀Try the 5 second rule to get out of bed. When the alarm goes off, count backward and get up to begin your day. Snoozing and scrolling social media from bed in the morning makes it harder to get up and increase fatigue.

Struggling to fit everything into your day? Time blocking can help by giving each task a set time, so you’re not constantly multitasking. Here’s how to do it:

1️⃣ List Everything: Write down all your daily tasks—meals, chores, work, errands, and even downtime on a post it or paper

2️⃣ Prioritize: Identify what’s essential and what can be moved or adjusted.

3️⃣ Assign Time Blocks: Group similar tasks and set time slots for them (e.g., 8-9 AM: breakfast & cleanup, 9-11 AM: focused work, 11-12 PM: errands). Be realistic about how long things take.

4️⃣ Include Buffer Time: Kids are unpredictable, so leave gaps for flexibility.

Morning table time favorites for our homeschool days. We begin our mornings with devotional readings during breakfast time. I find this time of day is the perfect time to read our devotional and discuss together the purpose and meaning of that day’s theme.

The super heroes devotional book is perfect for my 3 year old. Truth from the Bible that is straightforward, to the point and easy for him to apply with something he’s interested in… super heroes.

The dinner table devotional book is AMAZING!! We just added it to our line up this year and I have found every devotional is timely and has great discussion questions my 7 year old can participate in.

The best tea for moms… for all seasons! 🌟 NORA tea/ infusion blend 🌟 full of beneficial vitamins and minerals and is highly recommended for pregnancy but can also combat painful periods, PMS, endometriosis, and PCOS. It’s also great to drink postpartum to help restore your body.

Nora tea loves to be an infusion! Steeping herbs overnight (infusion) as opposed to a few minutes (tea). The extended time allows the water to extract more nutrients from the herbs than a short steeping, as a result this {infusion} is fuller and stronger in flavor, and more nutrient-dense than a tea might by light steeping.

•Oatstraw contains minerals such as iron, calcium, a variety of vitamins, and has a very high magnesium content.

Make Your Own Nourishing Tea at Home! 🌿
🤍Source organic bulk herbs.
Make your blend: Mix 2 part each of nettle leaf, & red raspberry leaf, 1 part alfalfa, and oatstraw. Adjust proportions based on your preferences.

🤍Steep 1–2 tablespoons in hot water for 10–15 minutes, strain, and enjoy!

Learn how to make elderberry syrup using this Elderberry Syrup Recipe 👇🏻👇🏻

INGREDIENTS
* 4 1/2 cups filtered water
* 1 cup Organic Elderberries
* 2 inches fresh ginger diced
* 2 cinnamon sticks (Or 1 Tablespoon ground cinnamon)
* 3-5 cloves
* 1 sliced orange *optional*
* 1/4 - 1/2 cup raw local honey

INSTRUCTIONS
1. In a medium saucepan, combine the water, dried elderberries, cinnamon sticks, clove, and ginger
* Heat on medium heat until the mixture starts to boil. Reduce heat to simmer and cover with a lid.
* Simmer for about 45 min - 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
* Remove from heat and allow it to cool. Pour the syrup through a strainer into a glass bowl. Use the back of a spoon to squeeze any remaining juice out of the berries. Discard the elderberries.
* Pour in to a jar with honey. For sweeter syrup, use 1/2 cup.
