STRIPED SWEATSHIRT
I love the nautical vibe of this lightweight sweatshirt with the washed navy and stripes. I wore it on a boat tour to keep out the wind. I’m wearing the 16/18.

STRIPED BUTTONUP
I love this relaxed fit striped top, and I’ve worn it on repeat this summer, usually with white denim shorts. I wore it here on a lighthouse cruise and out shopping in Newport. I also wore it on a 10-hour driving day. I’m wearing the size 20/22 for an oversize fit.

WHITE CROPPED JEANS
I LOVE these Mary jeans, and they come in tons of colors including traditional denim washes. They have a cropped kick flare leg with a raw hem. Once I got these, I kicked my white skinny jeans to the curb. These are way easier to style. I wore them with several different tops throughout the trip. I’m wearing the size 20 here and recommend you size up one in Ulla Popken denim from what you wear at LB or Torrid, especially if you have wider hips like I do.

STRIPED BEACH SWEATER
This sweater is giving coastal grandmother, and I love it! I’m wearing the size 16/18, and it has an oversize fit. It’s lightweight and silky to the touch, not warm and fuzzy. I wore it for the drive between Bar Harbor and Newport and out to dinner that evening.

BLUE LINEN DRESS
Ulla Popken makes this dress in several fabrics and prints. This blue linen is so light and dreamy, and I wore it to tour the Newport Mansions. I’m wearing the size 16/18, and like all of Ulla’s linen pieces, it started snug in the shoulders and arms but relaxed with some wear for a better fit.

I’ve always been a ‘more is more’ kind of girl, so I am reveling in the coquettecore era of adornment where everything has a bow, or a ruffle, or frills.🎀I’ve long described my style as whimsical + romantic, but the current coquettecore trend certainly fits too. It’s a little bit princess and little a bit ballerina, with Victorian and Rococo influences too.

This free people sweater is available in several colorways as part of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale which is coming to a close this Sunday, August 4th. I’m wearing the size XL in all four styles, and the threading on the pink and white styles seems to have a more relaxed fit. I do recommend sizing down 1-2 in this one. The body has a boxy fit, but the sleeves are looooong.
