Coffee with a high school friend in town for the holiday OOTD. Just got this Talbots sweater and the red zipper pull inspired me to pair it with these Universal Standard ponte pants with pink and red track stripes. The bag is from Quince and excellent quality especially for the price and the sneakers are my beloved Birkenstock Bend, the most comfortable and supportive sneakers perfect for travel and sightseeing! Not seen was my red coat but I’ll link to it. Sweater is L, pants are XS, not seen coat is 16P.

I believe I’ve found the perfect wide width loafer! It looks good for work but can dress up for evening, it comes in regular and wide, and it’s on sale for less than $60!! Oh and it’s comfortable right out of the box!

In high school I saw a woman on a soap opera in a silk blouse that looked like a stained glass window and it was all shades of blue, purple, and green. I have wanted a similar blouse ever since. I’ve bought a few over the years that had a similar vibe but this one from Boden is almost an exact match! Obsessed!

I paired it with an old pair of navy satin pants from Universal Standard though this blouse would also work with black.

Please excuse the gum chewing… 😬 while the teens were doing what teens do at the mall, I headed to @cpk for spinach artichoke dip and a glass of Sav Blanc and was trying to remove the effects while embarrassing my kid in Urban Outfitters filming my OOTD while lip syncing to One Direction…

We braved the mall before Christmas and survived to tell the tale. I dressed for function not fashion in comfortable clothes that wouldn’t get destroyed from try ons and wouldn’t have this perimenopausal mama overheat.

Braved the crowds at the mall to be a chauffeur for teens and pick up a few stocking stuffers.

Sweater is XXL but a couple of years old and has been through the dryer once or twice. Still for sale and linked here.

Pants are new; went with 16 petite. I always bring a big leather tote to the mall so I don’t need shopping bags and it doubles as my purse.

These clogs are so comfy right out the box; I wear with striped wool socks. I wore them to the mall to make potential fitting room try-ons easier.

Gold feels like an obvious choice with gold which is why I went with silver. It’s good to switch it up; it often increases your style quotient!
