It’s THAT easy 👇🏼
I feel like 99% of households have some sort of orange-y stained oak furniture. Thankfully it’s usually really easy to modernize. Here’s how I did it! 👇🏼
✨ sanded with 100 grit using my @surfprepsanding . I was able to use a lower grit to strip it since it was solid wood! (code FURNITUREDR10)
✨ mixed 1:1 ratio of water and @fusionmineralpaint Cashmere paint. This is my favorite white to use for whitewashes! (Code AAFMP10 for 10% off)
✨I wiped whitewash on with a clean sponge, and wiped off with a clean, lint free rag. An old teeshirt also works too! I did 3 coats, but so as many or as little as you want until you get desired outcome! Make sure to always let it dry in between coats
✨ not pictured, but I used @behrpaint aerosol water based polyurethane in matte finish to seal & give it that raw wood look!
What do you think?! This is one of my favorite techniques to update old furniture that’s still in good condition where I don’t want to paint!
Now… how much do you think this console table sold for? 🤑😏
