STEP BY STEP 👇🏼
✨ all @riadtile ziellge tiles are hand, cut and handmade so they vary in size and color. I opened each box and hand sorted & laid them out to make sure they blended nicely
✨ each tile was then soaked for 1 to 2 minutes
✨ after lightly cleaning a wall, I applied Māori type one tile adhesive
✨ I then laid each tile by hand 🥰
✨ I let the tile set on the adhesive for about 24 hours, and then it was time to grout!
✨ I used Mapei Ultracolor plus FA grout in Alabaster (purchased at @loweshomeimprovement ). I forgot to buy a float so that was my fault, but I was able to use a plastic scraper I had from a previous project
✨ I then used a damp sponge to wipe off excess grout!
I absolutely LOVE these @riadtile ziellge tiles. I used the 4x4 squares in steel grey! I love the imperfections & how authentic it looks! This wall took me and my amazing helper about 15 hours total, including cutting all the tiles with a manual tile cutter!
What do you think of this DIY laundry room makeover?!? I still have lots of details to complete it but this was definitely one of the bigger projects 🙌🏻
