Taking the gingerbread houses up a notch with a cute little village cake! WalmartPartner Save this post and share with your friends that need a little holiday inspiration. I’m no frosting artist so anyone can do this! Here’s how I made it: 1- grab everything you need on @Walmart and the shopping is a breeze so you can focus on baking with your friends and family this season. 2- I used pre-made gingerbread cookies, rolled them out flat to fit into a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Rolling out gingerbread is not for the faint of heart, it takes some time. Make sure you flour your rolling pin well! You’ll cut the houses AFTER baking. 3- Bake following the instructions of whichever method you use, but make sure they’re on the firmer side (these were purely decoration and not for eating). You can make cookies also to sit along with the cake if you prefer a softer gingerbread! 4- Using a knife, *carefully* cut out houses of various sizes and shapes to go around the cake. 5- Using a thin piping tip and frosting bag for icing, create your own masterpiece for the village and decorate the houses. 6- Attach each house with icing to the edge of the cake. 7- I decorated the top with rosemary for trees and sprinkled powdered sugar for a snowy village look. Add twinkle lights, they make everything so much better! IYWYK liketkit LTKSeasonal LTKCyberWeek LTKhome
