🚨🎄 Holiday PSA Incoming ⬇️ Wondering why I don’t have traditional lights on my vintage Christmas tree? 🎄 It’s because putting electric light on aluminum trees is a safety risk and fire hazard 😮 Unlike the metallic tinsel trees you can find today, the needles on aluminum Christmas trees are actually made of aluminum foil. The plus is that this makes them extra shiny ✨ but the aluminum is also a risk for a short circuit when used with traditional lights. So what’s the fix? A color wheel! These spotlights projected colored onto the shiny branches sending colorful sparkles around the room. Popular in the 60s, rotating color wheels were the solution to the shocking ⚡️problem with aluminum trees. I finally got my hands on a color wheel this year after searching for YEARS. My color wheel is a replica and not vintage, which I actually prefer for electronics just for safety. I’ll link it in the post since a lot of vintage versions can get pretty pricy but i was able to snag mine for under $50 💃🏻 What color is your favorite? Let me know in the comments! ❤️💛💚💙 LTKSeasonal LTKhome LTKHoliday
