Almost every piece of jewellery I own I have either been given to me as a gift or inherited. And the very few pieces I have bought myself are usually for a celebrations of special events. To me, jewellery is so much more than items to wear. They are symbols to remind me that I’m loved, of special occasions, or relatives that are not with me anymore. 🤍 As you might have noticed when you see my videos, I barely ever buy new jewellery and I don’t own a lot of different pieces. Instead I wear my signature items over and over again. My family ring and my @cartier watch are both inherited from my mom. I also have a very special pearl necklace from my grandmother. The @dior necklace I get so many questions about was a gift from one of my very first boyfriends over 20 years ago. And I was given my @vancleefarpels necklace by my ex husband when our son was born. I want my jewellery to tell stories, so the idea of buying lots of different pieces doesn’t appeal to me. My advice is, if there is one time you really should choose less but better, it’s definitely when it comes to jewellery.
