My favorite loosefitting running shorts are they Athleta mesh racer short. They come in a 4 inch inseam, which is perfect for somebody my age. The only thing I don’t love is that the zipper pocket is on the side, and I would prefer it to be on the back. I wear these weekly, and can’t say enough good things about them. I wear an XS.
