We focus so much on what to pack in the hospital bag that we forget about what happens after! Setting yourself up for the Postpartum transition is arguably even more important as packing for your hospital stay. Here are my postpartum non-negotiables: Always Discreet boutique underwear: Throw these in your hospital bag and have an extra pack for when you return home. You can always place a “padsicle” in and remove it when finished. frida mom: Upside down peri bottle. The adjustable nozzle gives easy access and helps keep you clean and take away sting. New jammies and slippers: Breastfeeding friendly, soft and cozy. having something new and fresh that fits comfortable is a MUST. I also encourage you to live in bed for one week. Padsicle ingredients: Witch hazel, aloe vera and pads. Add witch hazel, aloe and healing foam to a pad and place in the freezer closed until ready to use. These healing ice packs will be your bff if you have a tear or episiotomy. Meal Train: Nourishment is everything postpartum! Stick to warming and healing foods and have someone who is close to you start one. Heating Pad: They well boob warmers, but I find a good heating pad helps with all areas including sore upper back and shoulders from feeding, engorged breasts and a tender belly. Perineal Balm or Spay: Often times, the hospital gives dermoplast and it works great, but if you want a clean, organic perineal healing option, I love this organic perineal balm.
