Jammies on and ready for bedtime…only to hear, but I’m hungryyyyyyy. Stall tactic? Probably, but is there anything worse than going to bed hungry?
Now that we are back to early mornings and activities, dinner is coming to the table earlier and about two hours later is bedtime. I like an evening snack and their bellies do too.
We purchased this mini fridge and allowed them to stock it with their favorite things: string cheese, blackberries, strawberries and carrots.
Now after pajamas are on and before teeth are brushed, they can pick one snack from the fridge before they go to bed. We stopped the struggle, their bellies have a bit of extra fullness. It gives us time to take a quick shower and has helped the bedtime transition run much smoother.
