Some stills because I am so excited about the pretty colors and warmth in this baseline preppy guestroom. I’m still figuring out how much I want to go Nancy Meyers neutral in my home versus bring that romantic English inspired vintage charm. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but I like this! Christmas is still a month away and already I have felt more joy this holiday season that I remember in a long time. Decorating the house for 4 and 6 year-olds, making their day with a Christmas muffin wrapper, listening to them sing Christmas songs they’ve memorized… What could be better. So grateful. 🙏❤️

I found this vintage crystal-ey semi flush mount light scrunched up in a printer paper box at my favorite antique store and I carefully hung the strings back on, but I finally rounded up some similar ones available new, at different price points.

Even in newer houses, sometimes there’s an unfinished or under utilized space under an eve or even just a closet that’s bigger than you need. Have you ever done something like this?

Still not quite done decorating this tree, but I think I should get extra credit for using the clip on candles this year! I love the extra emphasis they add. Plus, this tree is pre-lit so with just the existing lights and the candles I didn’t need all my spools of old school string lights year! It was so much faster and easier to decorate!

I have been more excited about this Christmas season than I remember ever being. My kids and my home are some of my favorite things and watching their enthusiasm for Christmas music, decor, and traditions and enjoying the comfort of our home have been filling me with gratitude left and right.
