I posted this reel because I’m very excited about how I use these natural wicker baskets to carry laundry instead of plastic. They look and feel so much nicer, and I’ve found three of them thrift stores over the past few years for $3-5 each. But the Internet was very offended that I care so much about the aesthetics of my laundry, and confused about why I said it was $4 when they seem much more expensive where they live (I don’t think they read the caption that it was thrifted). -Others didn’t like that I was getting rid of one thing in favor of another because it’s wasteful. (I still use the plastic one in my garage, but a thorough understanding of the situation is not really what IG and Facebook comments are for.) -I also got some comments disgusted at the fact that my laundry is near my bed. (This is clean laundry, and it was for a video…) -Finally, some people commented that the wicker ones are harder to clean or can get caught on clothes… The Internet is also not familiar with the concept, “To each their own.” 🙃 Honestly, I may have more offensive swaps in 2025! I love natural products instead of plastic! Oh, and ironically, I did find one of these for under $10 online! Linked along with other bedroom items in my LTK. LTKHome
