Aaiooea Protective Housing Unit > Media Mod - while the media mod is nice to have for SOME occasions, the protective housing unit is GREAT to have ALL the time as it not only protects your camera, but it comes with a battery replacement door, a lens cap, a thumbscrew, and a quick release buckle mount for less than triple the cost of the media mod!

Ulanzi VL28 Light > Light Mod - while there are some differences between the two as far as lumens and runtimes go, what sets them apart for me (excluding the $36 price differential) is the VL28 comes with a double nut cold shoe adapter. The Light Mod was designed specifically for the Media Mod so it just slides into the cold shoe mount pre-built into the media mod. With a $50 price point and no real way to secure it, I'd rather spend the $14 and get a few less lumens. Also, the Light Mod can only be used on the Media Mod and not on any other set-up/camera. The VL28 can be used on w/ GoPro versions 5-10, the Osmo Pocket, and various Cannon and Sony cameras.

Inkee Falcon Gimbal > Volta - although the Falcon is only $10 cheaper than the Volta, they both offer the same features which includes the Falcon being media mod friendly. The only real difference is the price point and $10 is half a Chic-Fil-A order.

Battle of the Jaws Mounts - I couldn't tell you what the actual difference is between GoPro's $50 version and Sametop's $17 one or why GoPro is even charging $50 for this mount to begin with but nonetheless, you already know which one I went with!
π
Suptig 3 Channel Charging Station > GoPro's Dual - For $10 less dollars you can get 1 additional battery (GoPro's only comes with 1), 1 additional charging port,(GoPro's can only charge 2/time), a whole portable charging unit (GoPro's has to be plugged in to charge) WITH an LED battery level display. This one is truly a no-brainer!
