As the weather cools down consider layering your hydration!
Hydrated, moisturized skin has a better chance of ✨GLOWING✨ and looking 💪🏿PLUMP💪🏿 and 💦JUICY💦 Skin that is properly moisturized can also be less susceptible to barrier damage (provided you’re not using anything that irritates your skin 😉)
After cleansing while skin is still a little damp, apply a hydrating toner or essence (or both if you prefer—toner goes first then eseence).
BTW essence is a hydrating product typically found in Asian skincare that goes after toner but before serum. It’s said to help increase the efficacy of your serum.
After that, apply your hydrating serum and then your moisturizer followed by sunscreen during the day. If your moisturizer has sunscreen in it, you can combine the two steps. Side note: yes, moisturizers with sunscreen count as sunscreen. You need to make sure you apply enough to get the SPF on the label (2 mg/ cm2 of skin ~ 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon for face, neck, and ears).
Now you don’t HAVE to do all this and you may not need to do it everyday. Some of us are old and need all the hydration we can get 🤣
Also, YES you can layer hydration if you have oily skin.—just use lighter weight products like gel creams. You may find that layering hydration can help to balance your oily skin.
