Yes, I do actually wear dresses ! Obviously summer is when I reach for a dress . Cool. Chic. Easy. Throw it on & out the door . When I spied this black dress @hm a few months ago I pounced on it. (And frustratingly it was not available online because I would have shared it immediately) (it’s now online in white )( be quick !) I have a shoulder pad obsession: which is why I love this dress : an extended shoulder add drama , a fashion edge, take an average little ol shirt dress from drab to fab. And can we talk about how it’s so voluminous ! Alot of fabric in the skirt: which is what makes it look expensive and chic. Any exaggeration is a good thing in fashion : it gives the allure of generosity and looks like no expense spared. (Ignore the fact that I will need to put aside two hours to iron it every time I go out !) Styling tips: Add white shoes , either mules or flat sandals to lighten the look ( though black, brown or silver shoes would work here too). Grab a hobo bag in black or tan & white sunglasses Done !
