Only heat for 30 seconds or the plastic cups start to melt. 4. The candy is hot when you melt it, so supervision is definitely required if you do this with kids. 5. A metal straw worked best for making the candy. 6. Paper straws were perfect for collecting the cotton candy & serving it. 7. If the candy hardens, you can reheat it for 10 more seconds.
