We custom built this Murphy bed over 2 years ago and I still think this has been the best addition in our home, and the best solution for this room that we use as an office day to day and as a guest bedroom once of twice a year. Now, with this new beautiful color, I think it is 💯 finished.

Here is how this design mistake started a bit over 2 years ago. The room is NW facing, mostly cool/bluish filtered light during the whole day. I decided to “embrace” the darkness and choose a deep blue for the whole room, while the color itself is gorgeous, it was not the right color for the space. Right after finished painting, I regretted the decision because the room felt dark and sad.
A year later in hopes to make the room feel lighter I decided to wallpaper the walls and again, I chose a cool toned wallpaper, another mistake. The room overall design and color felt so disconnected from the rest of our home. So, almost 2 years later after lots of overthinking, I decided to do what I should have done since the beginning, just paint the whole room a different color 😮‍💨
