- decide on a color scheme - this year I’m doing a deep burgundy red!
- purchase ribbon - this is one thing I think often sells out!
- make sure I have my decor planned out (mostly anyway)
- I use the same garland each year but I usually try to add one new strand
- buy a few new ornaments each year

All about the velvet bows on our 2023 tree -

- I use 3/8” velvet ribbon to make the bows
- keep the ends long so they drape down the tree - play with lengths and you’ll find one you love
- you can choose one color or mix colors! I’m using a deep burgundy color this year and might mix it with red!
- simply place bow on the end of the branch- no need to use anything to attach them
- if you do want to attach with something then the green twist ties would work well
- linking multiple color options

I’ve had my eye on these floral pillows for quite some time and finally found them at a *decent* price - it’s all relative of course because they are a designer fabric. BUT I did find them in a boutique for about double what I paid for online at this source. Plus paired them with a budget friendly velvet pillow (that also comes in a bunch of other colors).
