- We do not hard wire wall sconces in this house (& my husband is an electrician)! We use remote controlled, rechargeable light bulbs! Depending on the weight of your sconce, you can also use command photo hanging strips to hang the sconce for a totally renter friendly project!
- I wanted to let the natural light in but still have privacy so I used decorative window film! No adhesive, they are installed by static so you just spray with water & adhere! Ours have been up for 3 years & come in tons of styles & colors, I linked 10+ varieties!
- Frame TV not in your budget? Mine either! So I used a $3 roll of decorative tape & searched “framed image” on the YouTube app! The “frame” you see is all the YouTube image! We only leave our TV on like this when we are hosting a party or just for fun a few hours at a time. We don’t leave it on 24/7 so no, it won’t burn the image into your tv (& you can also search for a slide show version if you want to leave it on longer so the images change out)!

I’m a plus size (5’2”, size 16/XL) on a health journey. I’ve lost 50lbs in the last 2 years BUT we are more than a number on the scale. Our value is not in what we look like but in who we are. I also share the importance of my mental health journey & how that has impacted every aspect of my life

I used 2 upper kitchen cabinets we found at a thrift store but you can buy them new at a hardware store or check your Facebook marketplace! I used uppers bc they aren’t as deep as lowers (only 12”) & I needed super narrow for this space.

@fusionmineralpaint is my fav furniture paint as there is little to no prep work (depending on your surface) & I am loving their new poly top coat to seal too! There is a discount link in my IG bio for Fusion!

I stained feet I found on Amazon to match the wood top (which is just a $20 “project board” you can find at @homedepot ) & also added pulls to the doors.

Seriously the easiest DIY ever & the whole thing cost about $80!

Don’t be afraid to make fashion your own! The beauty of buying more affordable clothes is the freedom to not feel bad about customizing them! I’m obsessed with the entire Walmart scuba knit line but I didn’t love the neckline or where the waist hem hit me on this top. So I just cut them off! Do what you love!

We turned our unused dining room into the vintage inspired speakeasy of our dreams and finding the perfect shade of blue was the biggest challenge. But ohhhh did we find it. This is English Channel by Behr paint & it’s so deep & moody but bright & bold at the same time!

Call me obsessed with this scuba knit hot pink set from Walmart! So soft & stretchy. The pants were too long so I just chopped them off & then got crazy & cut off the crew neck on the top to make it off the shoulder!

I own these pants in 3 colors now & 5 versions of this top from the Scoop scuba knit line!

Pants are true to size (I’m wearing my usual XL) but I sized down to a L in the top!
