Andrew Jackson and the Miracle of New Orleans, The Battle that Shaped America’s Destiny; Flip the Script, Lessons Learned on the Road to a Championship; Double Cross, the True Story of the D-Day Spies were the books I read last month. Each were fun to read in their own way.
Andrew Jackson and the Miracle of New Orleans is about General Jackson and Jean Lafitte partnering together to save the city from the British during the war of 1812. Without a miracle, the city would be lost. Good news for the US is that General Jackson prevailed.
Flip the Script offers life lessons from LSU head football coach Ed Orgeron. He’s had his ups and downs, battles on and off the field, and ultimately he turned these lessons into a book we can all learn from.
Double Cross makes you realize how close WWIII was from going the other way for the Allies. Without the Double Cross spy network, the Nazis may have prevailed.
What books did you read last month? Any that you recommend?
