The English Assassin, George Washington’s Secret Six, The Spy and the Traitor, and The World that Made New Orleans were the four books on Amazon I knocked back this past month. Of these books, The English Assassin was my favorite. 🕵️♂️
The English Assassin is a novel where an Israeli spy and art restorer is framed for murder in Zurich and must find his way out.
🇨🇭
George Washington’s Secret Six tells the story of General Washington’s spy ring that helped to bring a continental army victory against the British. 🇬🇧
The Spy and the Traitor details a spy KGB operative who helped to end the Cold War. In the story, a traitor in the CIA likely blew the KGB agent’s cover nearly ruining the decades-long operation run by MI6. 🇷🇺
The World that Made New Orleans covers how one of the most unique US cities was established. As a result of British, French, and Spanish rule, the culture of New Orleans was shaped by these empires. 🦞
All in all, June was a fun reading month. From fiction to US history to espionage, these book categories covered the gamut. 📚
What books did you read last month? Any that you recommend?
