Love your favorites for this week. I didn’t hype the Nordstrom sale or prime day so wasn’t sure what this week would look like.

1. Divided drawer bin by the home edit at the container store (I love using these in the fridge.
2. The Dyson Airwrap dupe continues to be a hair tool favorite. I got to use a real Dyson Airwrap last weekend in Denver and learned some great techniques I’ll share with you soon. So glad I spent $30 rather than $800.
3. Day planners a re hot this time of year and these by day designer are popular vertical planners.
4. The nursing cart continues to be a favorite. We’ve used ours as worn out cart, art cart and more!
5. The Erin gates momeni herringbone rug has been a favorite for years. It’s performance grade and stains come up so easily. This is a great dupe to the Ballard designs herringbone rug.
6. This striped ottoman is so stylish and a great price point. We had it at our last house and was very kid friendly.

I’m sure your social media is flooded with sale items from prime day, the Nordstrom anniversary sale and target circle week. I want to recommend the one item I’d buy (if I didn’t already own and love it!) from Amazon this week.

This deep cleaner has gotten everything off of my carpet and furniture. From red wine to pet messes to kid food stains, I’ve never had something I couldn’t remove. And the best part: I’ve never used more than warm water to do it!

This machine penetrates deep, is easy to use and simple to clean. Don’t sleep on this deal, it’s the lowest I’ve ever seen it

Here are your favorite item from this week! I love that we are starting to see some choices for fall clothing. I know it’s hard to shift gears to fall when it’s 90 degrees out but the wool skirt and long sleeve top are such great staples for the upcoming season.

This backyard pool is also a great buy right now to take you through the end of summer - it’s over 50% off at Walmart! I also love to see the planners for the academic year. This one was a favorite both this year and last.

Simple and easy travel day outfit! I met my bestie halfway in Denver (she’s in LA and I’m in Nashville!) We had such a fun time. I’m so glad I had these comfy joggers for our time in the hotel and especially when my flight was delayed 2 hours 😭😭😭. I scored this classic denim jacket at Zara on our trip. I’ve been searching for a good one for awhile and this one checked all the boxes.

Tshirt dress from Target! A great closet staple and easy to throw in. Comes in a cute stripe too! This is also the same as my go to target basic tshirts that I love.

Picks from my try on at lululemon this weekend! I had the morning off as mom so I took myself to lulu to try on some items I’ve been eyeing.

I don’t know about yall but I’m never sure my size there so I thought I’d share what fit best in each item for me to help you with shopping. For reference I’m 5’5” 125lbs and generally wear a 25 pants and xs/sm tops.

🖤Lululemon Align dress: looooved and bought this one. It is more pricey than some of the other LBD athletic dresses I’ve tried on BUT you can go potty without taking off the whole dress. And as a mom, that sold it for me. Wear a 6 in this dress.

🖤 Lululemon Align Tank: Recommend sizing up. I took at 8 and I’m small chested.

🖤Lululemon HR Hottie Shorts: I took a 4 and totally digging the pastel blues and greens this season.

🖤Ebb Cross Racer back tank. I took a 6. Loved the ribbing. Would make a great basic in white and black.

🖤I also tried on the dance studio HR short. These are great if you want an easy pull on short that’s an appropriate mom length.

🖤 Lastly I tried on the pleated tennis skirt in black. I took a 6. It felt to short as the pleating came above the biker under pants for me so I passed.

So many great items for summer in the dollar section at target right now! I have rising JK and PreK3 kiddos and these items are perfect for all of the items on their summer math and literacy leaning lists.

From flash cards to memory games to fine motor skills, they have groupings that are appropriate for 1st, K, PreK and rising PreK.

Obsessed! And so grateful that reviewing these skills this summer will be easier and fun now

We got a ruggable! Here is what I did before deciding to buy one:

I was defiant skeptical about buying a washable rug. I read tons of reviews on Reddit and polled my Instagram family. It was still unclear so I decided to do my own research.

Did you know you can request swatches from ruggable? I ordered 3 and they even sent me the different padding that goes under the rugs.

I tested the samples with coffee and red wine and was able to get both stains out using my little green machine and folex without damaging the rug.

Here’s what I learned:
If you are buying a rug larger than 8x10 washing the entire rug is a pain and unreasonable. We bought a 9 x 12 and my approach will be to spot clean using the green machine and folex.

I also learned that steam cleaning a ruggable isn’t a great option bc it can damage your floors from the wetness and hear.

I got a 15% off discount simply by leaving the rug in my cart when I had almost checked out. Ruggable then sent me a cart reminder email with the additional discount. You can always save 10% through email sign up.

Rolling out the rug: I found rolling it out to be no big deal. I have done this several times in my role as a personal assistant so I’ve had practice. The rug comes in a box and it’s folded up. Watch the video and follow the directions AND roll your rug and line it up first, then roll it over the padding. Then you can just smooth as you go (I’ll load a whole video on this!).

When you go to buy, get the swatch but also look at the scale of the design on the size rug you are purchasing. You can do this online by selecting the size of your rug. They scale and look of the rug varies immensely among the size of the rugs.

Overall impression: LOVE! I’m obsessed. I got the standard high traffic version of this rug. I noticed that the tufted looked lighter on the computer and I loved the color of my high traffic sample. I’m so glad I got this. It’s not a rug to cuddle on the floor but it’s durable, beautiful and perfect for our family with kids and dogs
