Another transformation from just a couple of months before moving in! We were in the process of choosing a hardwood stain at the time of the first video and I’m happy we went with a dark wood stain.

I’ll be honest the dark work shows every crumb on the floor, but I think it contrasts so well with the light greige walls so looking back I wouldn’t have gone with any other color!

This main living space has come a long way as far as decor, even more so in the last year!

I generally keep my styling pretty simple. Here is what I used here…
•Custom frames from @frameiteasy … I love having family photos all over the house
• Amazon lamp (under $100) with a warm light bulb for the best cozy lighting at night
•A large round vase + affordable Amazon stems. I went with this rounded shape so it wasn’t the exact shape of the lamp
•Coffee table books for added height
•Clear bins for alll the organization because it keeps me sane 🙃

Here are 3 simple things that made this space better...

- Adding curtains instantly made the room feel warmer and I wish we did so sooner. Hang the curtains 3-5 inches below your ceiling with 8ft ceilings or at least 8-10 inches above your windows if your ceilings are higher to make the room look bigger! (Our ceilings are 9ft for reference)

-The play mat is perfect because the style is similar to a rug I would pick out, but is cushioned and more comfortable for kids to play.

-Adding a cabinet and clear bins were a must for toy storage. We could put everything away at night and everything has a home

Still not over this room transformation with our custom curtains!

It took me a longgg time to decide on a color because they have so many great options to choose from. I’m so happy with my choice because these curtains bring so much more warmth to this side of our living room. Our walls are a ”griege” but they look very different in certain lighting and depending on what furniture is in front of it. These curtains definitely helped bring out the beige undertones of the paint.

I think we need another set on the other side of this living room, behind our couches next!
