Old homes are charming, aren’t they? Until it’s -8 and your poorly insulated house with an inefficient-heating-system & old windows can’t keep up so it’s 52 downstairs. But in all seriousness (cuz you know I love old houses), our neighborhood was without power for 17 hours and the full house generator the previous owner put in is worth every extra penny we had to spend to meet an offer when we bought the house 😂 It’s still 10 degrees out so curtains remain drawn, hot chocolate (and eventually wine) will be flowing, and I’ve moved “sign off on the Mass Save insulation quote” to the top of our priority list.
