Looks like a nice, overcast fall day, right? Sadly, we’re still knocking on almost 90° here in south central Texas. I am dying to get into my cozy fall clothes, but until then, cozy summer clothes it is! I’m on my way for my first follow up eye appointment since I stopped treatment for uveitis. Fingers crossed it’s still looking good-literally!

I’m trying to share not just my daily outfits, but what I did while wearing them. Yesterday my husband and I went to vote (early voting started on Monday in Texas) and we spent about an hour waiting in line, chatting with other voters, enjoying the fall weather, voting, then hiking through a drainage culvert and up a hill to get back to our car. Tip for my fellow Americans: wear comfortable shoes and a crossbody bag when you hit the polls this year! My mesh shoes worked out great (size up ½ size) and I’m glad I had the strap for this bag with me so I could have my hands free. I wore this pant set last week to the @Amazon Creator Summit for a “business casual” look. I added the adjustable belt for some extra definition at the waist but it’s totally not necessary. The shoes…oh these shoes! They’re SO comfortable. I want to grab another pair but I can’t settle on a color-there are so many! They run true to size. The handbag is another designer inspired piece that I’ve been carrying without the strap but added it for the conference so I could be hands free. I love tying together the colors of my belt, bag and shoes for a more polished look.

I love this new trend with bows tying the blouse shut, but the ones I’ve seen previously all had at least some skin showing in between the bows. Not this one! There are snaps in between each bow so you can get the look, without giving someone a look! 😉 It comes in lots of colors and is a lightweight material so it’s a great piece for those that are in a warmer climate. I wore this outfit for the second day of the Amazon Creator Summit and then to dinner after. Comfy and casual but still felt put together. Plus my new shoes were so comfy-I’m definitely picking up another pair! They run true to size.

Another week, another travel day outfit! This time I’m headed out to Vegas for the @Amazon Creator Summit. It’s still hot out there so I opted for a super lightweight maxi dress and fishnet mesh Mary Janes that are comfortable for travel but also will work well for walking around the Strip during the day. This affordable jumpsuit (under $40) is a great wear now, wear later piece and the comfort level is a 10/10! I wore it a couple weeks ago to run errands (and get a pedicure) and I can wear it later by just throwing a cardigan or jacket over it. I love the drawstring waist and pockets, and the price is fantastic. You can even dress it up with accessories, heels and a blazer. I’ve been reaching for this tote bag again-I love the richer brown color, although it comes in lots of options. The magnetic closure makes it feel a little more secure too. Speaking of pedicures, do you do seasonal color or do you stick with one classic color all year? I’ve been going for a classic red like Big Apple Red lately but now I’m feeling like a rich burgundy for fall.
