A few of my favorite basics! Long Sleeve: I love a good long sleeve basic shirt in the winter! This comes in 14 colors and is on sale for $8.40! I’m wearing a size medium, so I consider them to be true to size. One thing to note: The two metallic colors are a bit different fabric (I bought them online and returned them because I wasn’t a fan), but the 12 colors that are NOT metallic are a super soft, slinky ribbed material. Short Sleeve: I’m a sucker for an elevated basic and it’s velvet! This comes in 8 different colors and is under $25. This is meant to be a bit oversized. I’m wearing a small in the blue, and a medium in the brown. Both fit great, but I prefer the look of the small. If you want the oversized look, buy your true size. If you’re in between sizes or don’t want something as oversized, I’d say size down. Jeans: I went ahead and linked my two favorite pair of trousers from Ariat—the ones I’m wearing here, and my other favorite pair (because they’re ON SALE)! They’re a “perfect rise” which is in between an mid and high rise. In both pair, I wear a 28L and consider them to be very true to size. I’m 5’7”, a size 6 (occasionally I got down to a 4), and always opt for a 34” inseam). If you’re between sizes, you might consider sizing up?
