Iris, Jack & I took our fall family photos last weekend. Originally I had a completely different beautiful lace dress in olive picked out for myself to wear & a basic autumnal cream dress for Iris. Then, out of nowhere, I saw this precious H&M balloon-sleeved cotton toddler dress in this horse print & BAM- everything changed. Suddenly I was wearing the basic autumnal cream & Iris had a western vibe- I never saw it coming. 🐴 In the end I paired my dress with knee-high brown suede boots from Vici & Iris in these amazing moccasin leather-like boots in a cream color with tassels hanging & I was so happy for the last minute fall family photo outfit inspo while browsing H&M. The cream-colored horses on Iris’ dress & cream boots paired perfectly with my Rib-knit dress in neutral white (also from H&M & under $50! 🙌🏼) & instantly our fall family photo outfits went from from a pretty dresses in basic fall colors to an elevated, more polished aesthetic while still being a classic fall/autumn look- just a bit more fashion forward & unique which helps to bring out our true personalities more in a fun way through our fashion choices. And isn’t that that exact point of fashion anyway? Good luck to all those families out there prepping for their fall photos and especially the mamas planning & coordinating it all. I mean- that’s the exact reasoning behind fashion to begin with, right? One of the easiest ways to go from basic to elevated while showing off your uniquely you personality is to accessorize.
