Recipe Idea - stromboli Ingredients: 2 cans of crescent dough; Sliced deli ham; Sliced salami; Pepperoni, any size; Mozzarella, Provel cheese - any pizza/italian kind you like ; Pizza or marinara sauce ; Italian seasonings; Parmesan cheese; Olive oil Instructions: - preheat oven to about 5° lower than crescent can calls for - flatten cans of crescents into a large rectangle to cover cookie sheet - when layering for next steps: do not place meat,cheese, or sauce all the way to the edges of the crescent because crescent space will be needed to layer over the top (leave about an 2 inches along the long edges of crescent) - add a light layer of pizza sauce - add a layer of ham, salami, pepperoni - top meat layers with a little more sauce - cover meat/sauce with cheese - cut slits along the long edges of the crescent where you left space; can cut with scissors or a pizza cutter - criss-cross crescents slots over the top of the meat/cheese mixture to resemble a braid - brush olive oil on the top - sprinkle Italian seasonings and Parmesan cheese - baking: until the crescents get golden brown - I find this takes longer than a crescent can usually says, so I cook them at a lower temp and a little longer because in my experience if I cook at regular temp the crescents are overdone on top and not cooked on the inside. Give yourself about 20 minutes to bake. - serve warm Optional: - serve with pizza sauce or ranch - other items: peppers, black olives, prosciutto, Italian sausage LTKFamily
