It’s midweek & I’m over here counting sheep 🐑💤.
I’ve had a few nights recently where it’s been really hard for me to fall asleep.🙃 (With everything that’s been going on in the world, can you blame me?) It also always takes me a bit of time to get used to falling asleep after moving into a new place… and counting sheep doesn’t quite cut it.
@vitalproteins recently gifted me this Blueberry Moon Milk Collagen Latte mix, so I thought I’d see if it helped! I’ve tried it a few times now and I’ve got some thoughts.
My current go-to method for preparing it is to froth some warm 2% milk and blend in one scoop of the Moon Milk mix.🥛 One scoop includes Melatonin, GABA & Magnesium for restful sleep as well as 5g of Bone Broth Collagen. The usual serving is two scoops, but that much is a bit too strong for my personal taste…🤨 (The flavor is really more broth-like rather than tasting like blueberry.) My first time trying it I mixed it with just hot water. The effects were nice and calming - after I got past the flavor. (Highly recommend that you don’t just mix it with hot water. Mixing it with milk tastes WAY better in my opinion.💯) I’ve also seen some people recommend adding vanilla creamer to the mix to mask more of the broth flavor, so I may try that next!
When it came to general effects, I don’t think that it necessarily helped me FALL asleep.😴 However, I wasn’t groggy at all waking up the next day and felt really well-rested!🙌🏻 I’m going to continue testing ways to mix it and maybe upping to the full serving size if I can find a way to mix it that works better for me flavor wise.
