It had very heavy spice (πΆοΈπΆοΈπΆοΈ) and not much substance/emotional connection between the two characters until the last 60-70 pages. In my opinion, the physical connection overpowered the emotional connection, so it felt like there was never a true connection between them. There were also moments that felt rushed in some areas such as Rueβs issue with her brother and the overall pace of the relationship. With that said, I absolutely loved the STEM aspect of the book and the company issue and resolution. Hazelwood did an excellent job in tying everything together in a realistic and fun way. Overall, I enjoyed Not in Love as my first novel by Ali Hazelwood. From what Iβve heard, Not in Love was out of her comfort zone which I totally commend her on - Iβm sure itβs not easy to write something so different from what you usually do. Recommend? β¨ If youβre an Ali Hazelwood fan and/or enjoy spice in your books, I would still recommend this one. Itβs completely different from her other works which can be a breath of fresh air for the reader. LTKFindsUnder50 LTKHome LTKVideo
