Sharing videos of different pieces in my closet/items I’ve ordered! 🫶🏼

These are the three pairs of boots I have on rotation every winter.

I’m not going to tell you that any of these styles are essential. While I think *some* sort of boot is a must for those that live in colder climates, what this looks like for you will depend on your lifestyle, taste, comfort etc. Though, if you’re wanting to maximize versatility, the things to look out for are…

#1 | a silhouette that is both work appropriate but also feels approachable enough that you’re happy to wear them on your days off

#2 | a versatile colour; neutrals generally give you the most bag for your buck, and that doesn’t mean it has to be a “classic” black boot 👀

#3 | comfort… if they have a heel, could you be stood in them for hours without reprieve? Leather shoes tend to have some give but keep in mind a stiff leather will take *much* longer to break in than something that feels malleable and soft right off the bat

#2 | Cream cotton cardigan - sized up to an M

#3 | Brown gingham crop pants (come in *loads* of colours/fabrications - perfect for petites, too!) - size US4/AU8 but note that these have zero give to the fabric

Three ways to style a bright pink knitted jacket (using styling techniques you can apply to any outfit) 💗

#1 | this is my personal favourite - dialling down the contrast by pairing a bright with easy neutrals in your wardrobe (you can dial it up a notch by adding a bold bag if you want 🥰)

#2 | opt for high contrast, by pairing a bright coloured piece with white or black - this is probably how many of you have been told to introduce colours you’re unfamiliar with into your wardrobe and it has a bit of a graphic element to it!

#3 | go for maximum impact and wear another (complementary) loud hue. I’ve gone with a fiery red here, and then tied it all together with neutral tan accessories which keep the focus on the outfit

What do you wear when it’s hot and you want to look chic?

Often we think about the rule of three, and how this tends to be most pleasing on the eye. When layering isn’t an option, it can feel like something is “missing” from your outfit. Rather that try to force it, instead lean into it and use styling to bring in that third element.

With my outfit today, it could be as simple as counting the print on my top, the way my crossbody bag adds in a visual break, or alternatively going the extra mile with a loud jewellery piece or bright red lip.

Not to be *that* girl, but I treated myself to this super special top from @harris_tapper and of course my first instinct was to immediately style it up 😍

I think this would look gorgeous with a column skirt, a little mini (imagine in red!), or full length straight leg trousers, but I went with a classic tapered pant instead in a slate grey - a colour that pairs SO well with ballerina pink 🩰

Shoes *had* to be kinda glitzy (of course!) ✨ and it was between bookending my outfit (with colour) or going with a gradient of light to dark. I went with the latter - I like using this approach when styling as it naturally draws the eye downward giving the illusion of length.
