lucid ladybug love: smithville, nj engagement ✨ “A connection through our dear friend, Steph led to lucid ladybug meeting up with the couple in Smithville, NJ this November to capture engagement photos. We personally love when couples share a private engagement and save photos for a later date.   Once a stagecoach stop, Smithville’s original building was purchased in 1952 by Fred and Ethel Noyes. They restored the building into their antique shop and eventually into a restaurant called The Smithville Inn. 
Smithville is a favorite SJ spot - especially during the holiday season with the train ride and the carousel overlooking Lake Meone. It was the perfect place to capture Nick + Steph’s vintage-inspired engagement photos. We met just before sunset on November 23 and I had a blast puttering around Smithville with them - snapping pics of them holding hands, sneaking smooches and riding the famous carousel together. Did you know the carousel at Smithville is from Wichita, Kansas?   Nick rocked his vintage leather jacket and Steph paired a vintage-style skirt perfectly with her denim jacket and patent leather Mary Janes.   The joy and love radiating from the two of them outshined the gorgeous sunset we watched over Lake Meone.
