Ryan proposed 3 years ago today 🥹💍 “Ryan drove Asher + I to our favorite coffee shop, @cityofsaintscoffee on July 17, 2021 at sunrise. We parked on the north end by the water and Ryan surprised me with the question + ring of my dreams. I was in my workout clothes - no makeup, naked nails, dog mom book bag, and all. Not a soul around. Just us, Asher and the sun sparkling on the Hudson. We strolled along the water towards Hoboken - making out on park benches like we were 17 again. Snagged our favorite bagels from @obagel_family and showed Asher our old stomping grounds. We were living on Chestnut St. in Weehawken when the world stopped in 2020. Riding bikes, taking long walks to visit @embain + take out from Orale got us through that tough year. Ryan chose the spot where I’d sat and wrote every day by the water (completing The Artists Way). A spot so special to my personal development + growth. Where I fell in love meditation. A spot where I laughed and cried - where I learned to honor new depths of emotion and discovery of curiosity and freedom despite societal chaos.
