What is the key to styling a bed?
Layers and patterns!

One of the hardest things in design is layering and mixing patterns but it can really take your space to the next level.

When layering blankets I keep with a neutral pallet but look for a solid texture, a stripe, and thicker solid, and a chunky knit.

Patterns can be tricky. It’s all about trial and error. I tend to mix larger patterns, smaller patterns, linear patterns, and a solid. I try to stick with a neutral pallet and add small pops of color. I tend to put pillows together and try it and might need to mix things up!

Want to know how to make a layered cozy bed? I have 5 blanketed layers (no I don’t sleep with them- I literally fold it back and then fold it back over when we wake up).
If you have a duvet you do not need this many layers! When I had my duvet I used 3-4.

Why layer your blankets? It add texture and dimension and gives your eye something exciting to look at! But if you don’t love lots of things on your bed then you do you!
